RiskExec Clients Start the Day With 2025 Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Peer Data, Loaded the Same Day It Was Released

KNOXVILLE, Tenn., Nov. 6, 2026 — Institutions that benchmark their small business and small farm lending can now compare against 2025 peers in RiskExec, Inc. ("RiskExec"). RiskExec processed and deployed the data the same afternoon the federal bank regulatory agencies, as members of the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC), released it, and clients had it in the platform when they logged in the next morning.

2025 CRA reporting is now available in the Peer Analysis and CRA solutions, including the small business and small farm reports. Every record was converted and verified before deployment, so clients can run the peer comparisons they already rely on without rebuilding anything.

Until this week, those comparisons ran on 2024 activity. Peer data is the benchmark an institution's own lending is measured against, including in CRA performance evaluations, so the more current the peer set, the more useful the comparison. The agencies also published earlier than in recent years: the 2024 data came out November 13, 2025, and the 2023 data December 16, 2024.

The reporting group changed. According to the agencies' fact sheet, 720 lenders reported 2025 data on originations and purchases of small loans ($1 million or less to businesses, $500,000 or less to farms), compared with 732 for 2024. A peer group built from last year's reporters may include lenders that didn't report this year, so it's worth checking the group before rerunning comparisons.

Lending activity shifted as well. Reporters logged nearly 9 million small business loans totaling more than $291 billion. The total number of small business loans reported, including purchases, fell 1.6% from 2024, while the dollar amount originated rose 4.7%. Lenders reported a combined total of almost $185 billion in community development loans in 2025, a 34 percent increase from the amount reported in 2024.

"Peer data is already a year old the day it's published, so our clients shouldn't have to wait on us for it," said Dr. Anurag Agarwal, Founder & President, RiskExec. "Our team treats release day like a deadline. This year the agencies published early, and we still had the 2025 data deployed the same afternoon, ready for clients the next morning. That means our clients can start measuring their 2026 performance against current peers right away."

With fewer lenders reporting and the OCC and FDIC's CRA proposal still pending, 2027 planning starts with knowing what's settled and what isn't. Agarwal covers exam priorities, rule and guidance changes, and where enforcement attention is moving in the opening session of The State of Risk & Compliance, a free virtual summit on December 9, 2026.
